I worked as musical director/arranger on Channel 4's The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan and All Star Happy Hour creating arrangements of popular songs. I collaborated with well-known artists including Shaggy, TLC, UB40 and Bastille. The songs were all arranged using everyday household and on-site objects only and performed by the bands/artists, myself and members of the public.
ARRANGING/MUSIC DIRECTING
ORCHESTRATION
I took the 8-bit chiptune 'Red Alert' Theme from the original MSX Metal Gear game (centre) and orchestrated it for a planned remake of the game in 2014 (right). The track now has nearly 100,000 views and was highly praised by the Metal Gear fan community.
For my MA portfolio, I wrote a composition scored to a sequence from a National Geographic wildlife documentary about wild macaws. I orchestrated the composition for a live string ensemble which I also conducted for both the rehearsals and recording sessions. I received a distinction grade for my work.
