Alex Burnett is a composer for film, TV and video games. He is also skilled in sound design, editing and mixing. He has a Masters in Composition for Film and Television from the University of Bristol, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Alex began writing music for theatre and has since moved on to working on film, TV and game soundtracks. His music has appeared on major UK TV broadcaster Channel 4, and he has also worked at ITV London Studios as music arranger/director on award-winning comedy talk show The Last Leg. Other notable clients include Panasonic UK, ZSL London Zoo and The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust. He scored the BBC Earth award-winning wildlife film 'Giants on the Edge' and received a nomination for Best Original Score for his work on medieval fantasy series '9Realms' at international film festival Los Angeles CineFest.
Alex has written soundtracks for a number of video games and mobile apps including sci-fi puzzle-platformer game 'The Mimic' (PC) featured at the UK's biggest gaming event EGX and now available on Steam. He is also the composer for interactive children's brand Bean&Gone and is responsible for writing music for their entire range of digital products including educational mobile app 'Bean&Gone: PlayPatch' (Android, iOS, Amazon Fire).
Alex is currently writing the soundtrack for exciting new video game project The Wanderer: Frankenstein's Creature, a co-production of European TV network ARTE and French games studio La Belle Games. The game recently was nominated for the Best Narrative Award at GamesCom 2018 and received an Honourable Mention for the GDC 2019 Best in Play Awards. Coming to Nintendo Switch, PC/Mac and Mobile in 2019.
